Get ready for the biggest showdown in the ICC men’s t20 event, with 20 teams divided into four groups that compete against each other in 55 matches. T20 World Cup 2024 teams are India, Australia, Pakistan, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Namibia, Ireland, Scotland, Oman, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Canada, Nepal, Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, and Uganda including the co-hosts West Indies and USA will be competing each other to become the Champions of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Let the cricket fever begin! The ICC Men’s T20 WC 2024 gears up with a slam as two co-hosts start their tournament journey in the first two days of June. The USA competes against Canada in the tournament opener at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas on Saturday, June 1, while the West Indies will compete against Papua New Guinea at the Guyana National Stadium on Sunday, June 2.
For the first time, Nassau County Stadium, New York, will host the biggest cricket rivalries, India and Pakistan, on Sunday, June 9. The modular stadium, which has a capacity of 34000 seats, is located 30 miles east of downtown Manhattan in Nassau County, New York. Eight group stage matches will be played in this venue.
T20 World Cup 2022 defending champion England will start their tournament journey on Tuesday, June 4, in Barbados against Scotland, and 2022 finalist Pakistan will compete against the USA on Thursday, June 6, in Dallas.
In Group Stage matches, South Africa will play against Sri Lanka in New York on Monday, June 3, while the Ashes archrivals, Australia and England, will face each other on Saturday, June 8, in Barbados. Another electrifying competition of New Zealand against co-host West Indies will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.
Joining co-host USA in group a are arch-rivals India and Pakistan, as well as Canada in their first appearance at the event as well as the European side Ireland. Group B consists of the last two winners of the Men’s T20 World Cup in England and Australia, with the pair to take on Namibia, Scotland and Oman.
