T20 World Cup 2024 Broadcast Rights
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the broadcasting rights for the T20 World Cup 2024. After reviewing many proposals the ICC has confirmed Star Sports to broadcast the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 worldwide. According to the agreement, Star Sports has the exclusive rights to show live matches and highlights on various platforms for the ICC tournament. The Big event will start from June 1 to 29, in the USA and West Indies.
Star Sports has had a firm friendship interests with the ICC for many years. From 2007 to 2015, they and ESPN held the global broadcast rights for ICC significant events.
Owned by 21st Century Fox through its STAR TV and Fox International Channels subsidiaries, Star Sports mainly broadcasts to India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, and Bhutan. It has additional viewership in East Asia through specific channels.
Star Sports also manages the distribution of ICC events to audiences worldwide and other broadcast partners. Their efforts ensure that over 1.5 billion cricket lovers can access live ICC events telecasts. Also ICC’s event partner Indian Hotstar will telecast the T20 World Cup 2024 matches on mobile for free.
